This cookie policy explains how Engivolt ("we") uses cookies and similar technologies on engivolt.net, on which legal basis, and how you can give, change or withdraw your consent. Further information on how we process personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. They make it possible to recognise your device on a return visit, to remember settings such as your cookie choice, or to measure how the website is used. Similar technologies that store or access information on your device (such as scripts, pixels and local storage) are treated in the same way in this policy.
Our use of cookies is governed, for visitors in the United Kingdom, by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, together with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018; and, for visitors in Ireland and elsewhere in the European Economic Area, by the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011), which implement the EU ePrivacy Directive, together with the EU GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (Ireland).
When you first visit the website, our cookie notice offers three buttons of the same size: "Options", "Reject" and "Accept"; "Reject" and "Accept" look exactly the same. "Options" opens the "Privacy Preferences" panel, where you can switch the Analytics and Marketing categories on or off individually and confirm with "Save Options", "Reject All" or "Accept All". If you reject, we use only essential cookies. Your decision is stored in the ck_consent_v2 cookie.
These cookies are required for the website to operate, to stay secure and to remember the choice you make in the cookie notice (the ck_consent_v2 cookie). They are marked "Always on" in the preferences panel and cannot be switched off, because the website does not work properly without them.
These cookies are set by Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-YE8NGK2MP2). They help us understand how visitors use the website, such as the number of visitors, the pages viewed and how visitors found us, so that we can improve it. The Google tag is loaded only after you switch on "Analytics" in the preferences panel or choose "Accept" or "Accept All". Until then no Google Analytics script is loaded, no analytics data is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set.
These cookies measure the impact of our advertising and allow relevant ads to be shown. For this purpose we may use Google Ads conversion measurement and the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, for our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. They are loaded, and marketing cookies are set, only if you switch on "Marketing" in the preferences panel or choose "Accept" or "Accept All"; without that consent no request is sent to Google Ads or Meta for this purpose and no marketing cookies are set. At the time of this update no advertising tag is active on this website.
In addition, Google Consent Mode is set to "denied" for analytics and advertising storage by default on every page and is updated to "granted" only for the categories you accept.
The table below lists the cookies that may be used on engivolt.net and their storage periods.
| Cookie | Domain | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ck_consent_v2 | engivolt.net | Essential | Stores the choice you make in our cookie notice as a small JSON record (whether you accepted or rejected the Analytics and Marketing categories, and when), so that we can honour it and do not ask again on every visit. | 1 year |
| _ga | engivolt.net | Analytics | Set by Google Analytics. Distinguishes visitors by assigning a randomly generated identifier and is used to produce statistical reports on how the website is used. Set only with your consent. | 2 years |
| _ga_* (_ga_YE8NGK2MP2) | engivolt.net | Analytics | Set by Google Analytics 4 to maintain the session state for this website's measurement ID (G-YE8NGK2MP2). Set only with your consent. | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | engivolt.net | Marketing | Set by the Google Ads conversion linker, if we use Google Ads, to measure the conversions generated by our advertising. Set only with your consent. | 3 months |
| _fbp | engivolt.net | Marketing | Set by the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, if we use it, to measure the effectiveness of our ads and to show relevant ads. Set only with your consent. | 3 months |
| _fbc | engivolt.net | Marketing | Set by the Meta Pixel, if we use it, when you arrive by clicking a Facebook or Instagram ad; stores the click identifier. Set only with your consent. | 3 months |
The website does not use local storage or other browser storage for tracking. Our web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; this involves transmitting your IP address to Google but does not set cookies (see section 6 of our Privacy Policy).
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA ("Google"). According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google may process the data in the United States; such transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the UK Extension to that framework (the "UK–US data bridge"), under which Google LLC is certified, with standard contractual clauses as an additional safeguard.
You can also prevent collection by Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Further information: Google's privacy policy.
You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To do so, open the Cookie Preferences (the link is also at the bottom of every page), switch the Analytics and Marketing categories on or off and save your choice. When you reject or withdraw consent for a category, the cookies of that category set on our domain (_ga, _ga_*, _gcl_au, _fbp, _fbc) are deleted from your browser and Google Consent Mode is updated straight away. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal is not affected.
Independently of our cookie notice, you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings:
Please note that if you block essential cookies, parts of the website may not work properly.
If you have questions about this cookie policy, please contact us at info@engivolt.net. Information on the controller, your rights and your right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the United Kingdom or the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) in Ireland can be found in our Privacy Policy.
We'd like to use Google and Meta's analytics and marketing cookies to improve the site, measure our ads and show you relevant ads. If you reject, we use only essential cookies. You can change this at any time.
