This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit engivolt.net or contact us, how we use it and the rights you have. Engivolt focuses on projects in Ireland, the United Kingdom and beyond. Depending on where you are, we process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (United Kingdom), and/or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "EU GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018 (Ireland). In this policy, "GDPR" means the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR, whichever applies to you.
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:
Engivolt
Email: info@engivolt.net

You can contact us at the email address above with any question about your personal data or this privacy policy.
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits in server log files: the browser type and version, the operating system, the referrer URL, the host name of the accessing device, the time of the server request and the IP address.
This data is not merged with other data sources. We process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and error-free operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is deleted after a short period unless it is needed to investigate a specific security incident.
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Essential cookies are needed for the website to work, to stay secure and to remember your cookie choice; they do not require consent. All other cookies are used only with your prior consent, which you give category by category in our cookie notice:
Storing information on, and accessing information from, your device is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) in the United Kingdom and by the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011) in Ireland. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page; the cookies of any category you switch off are then deleted from your browser. Each cookie, its purpose and its storage period are listed in our Cookie Policy.
Subject to your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-YE8NGK2MP2), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors find us.
The Google Analytics script is loaded only after you have consented to the Analytics category. Without your consent the Google tag is not loaded, no data is sent to Google Analytics and no analytics cookies are set. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, together with PECR in the United Kingdom and S.I. No. 336 of 2011 in Ireland). Google may process the data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework of 10 July 2023 and on the UK Extension to that framework (the "UK–US data bridge"), under which Google LLC is certified; standard contractual clauses apply as an additional safeguard. You can withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, via the Cookie Preferences link.
We may use Google Ads conversion measurement (Google) and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads, including on Facebook and Instagram. These technologies are loaded, and marketing cookies are set, only if you consent to the Marketing category; without that consent no request is sent to Google Ads or Meta for this purpose. At the time of this update no advertising tag is active on this website. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google and Meta may process the related data in the United States under the safeguards described in section 4.
To display text in a consistent typeface, our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google. When a page is opened, your browser connects to Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so your IP address and basic browser information are transmitted to Google. Google Fonts does not set cookies. We use it on the basis of our legitimate interest in a uniform and appealing presentation of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where the data is processed in the United States, the safeguards described in section 4 apply.
If you contact us by email (info@engivolt.net), we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company and the content of your message, in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or to steps prior to entering into a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete this data once it is no longer needed for these purposes, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
This website is hosted by an external hosting provider, and our email is handled by an external email service provider. They process personal data on our behalf, only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and efficient website and communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with: service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, IT and email providers and, only with your consent, analytics and advertising-measurement providers, namely Google and, where used, Meta); professional advisers; other companies of our group where this is needed for the purposes described in this policy; and courts, regulators and public authorities where the law requires it.
Where we transfer personal data to countries outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, we do so only in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR: to countries covered by UK adequacy regulations or an EU adequacy decision, or subject to appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (supplemented, for transfers from the United Kingdom, by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA). Transfers to Google LLC and, where used, Meta in the United States are described in sections 4 and 5. You can request further information on the safeguards applied using the contact details in section 1.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above: server log data for a short security-retention period; enquiry correspondence for the duration of our exchange and a reasonable period afterwards; contractual and accounting records for the periods required by law; and analytics and marketing cookies for the lifetimes stated in our Cookie Policy (they are deleted from your browser as soon as you reject or withdraw consent for their category). The data is then deleted or anonymised.
For personal data processed in recruitment procedures, our Privacy Notice for Job Candidates applies in addition, together with, for voluntary retention in our talent pool, our Explicit Consent Declaration for Job Applicants.
Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@engivolt.net. We will respond within one month of receiving your request; this period may be extended by two further months for complex or numerous requests, in which case we will let you know.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first at info@engivolt.net. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and inform you of the outcome without undue delay (for the United Kingdom, see section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular:
This website uses TLS encryption to protect the transmission of content; you can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" and the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised; the current version applies to your next visit.
We'd like to use Google and Meta's analytics and marketing cookies to improve the site, measure our ads and show you relevant ads. If you reject, we use only essential cookies. You can change this at any time.
